A Festive Galentine’s Day Tea Party
Galentine’s Tea Party
February is my favorite month, mainly because it is my birthday month but also because I love to throw Galentine’s day parties. I have thrown a few over the years and after not entertaining much due to COVID, I thought it would be fun to have a small tea party brunch to celebrate some of my favorite women. I have been looking forward to a change in weather and spending more time outside so I thought the tea party theme would be nice paired with garden inspirations. I am happy without it turned out, here is what it looked like . . .
The Decor
I love creating my own floral arrangements so I went in search of some nice spring looking flowers. Unfortunately there were not many options when I looked but I snagged some pretty colored carnations and some chamomile which went well with my tea theme. I put some in a small white teapot to create the main centerpiece then added a couple other smaller bouquets around.
I created cloth napkins using my tea party inspired collection. You can purchase the fabric or the prints on home goods through Spoonflower here. I was really happy with how the prints came together.
I added some fun decorations and streamers along with this cute banner from Etsy.
The menu consisted of tea sandwiches, scones, vegan lemon bars, quinoa salad, and fruit. My favorite tea sandwiches were the brie, apple, and prosciutto and the Caprese ones.
During the event, we played mash, visited and did a plant exchange. The plant exchange consisted of everyone bringing a plant or seeds and doing a white elephant-like exchange. Everyone was able to leave with a new plant friend!
It ended up to be a beautiful day and it was so recharging to spend quality time with some great girlfriends!
Here are some links to things I used for my event in case you want to host a similar event . . .
